Position Descriptions
Foreman
Provide field leadership in all aspects of landscape maintenance while stressing safety at all times. Position requires excellent leadership abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, a professional attitude and appearance and good interpersonal skills. Minimum of 3 years experience in all phases of residential landscape maintenance including mowing, hand pruning, tree pruning, plant ID and pest ID. Requires valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Landscape Architect
Prepares design and construction documents for landscape projects.
Qualified candidates must have a diverse background in planning, design, graphic arts and construction document preparation. Proficiency in AutoCAD and graphics software is required plus strong communication and interpersonal skills. A BS in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university is preferred. Recent graduates with solid design, office, and intern experience will be considered. Registration is preferred, but not required.
Project Manager - Construction or Maintenance
Plans, directs and participates in jobsite activities which will efficiently and profitably result in a high quality landscape installation and/or maintenance with high customer satisfaction. To ensure a quality, on time, on budget landscape installation and maintenance through properly directing jobsite activities, coordination of subcontractors, and frequent client contact through and after project completion. This position requires an in depth understanding of both the operational management and horticultural/agronomic technical aspects of the maintenance operation which is usually obtained through previous experience as a maintenance foreman or a related equivalent position. This position requires the ability to plan and organize as well as requiring proven leadership, interpersonal, training and sales skills. A firm understanding of the on site daily activities per Scott Byron and Co. standards is a must in assisting the crews to successfully meet their goals and objectives. Requires valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
